Fictitious invitations to international conferences may be emailed under fraudulent Department of State letterhead. The purpose of these invitations is to trick people to pay for fictional visa appointment, “guaranteed visa issuance” and conference logistic services, as well as to obtain your private information.
Please note that only U.S. Embassies issue U.S. visas. Conference organizers can NOT manage visa processes. Conference organizers can NOT schedule visa appointments for participants.
