Event: Closure of Routine Consular Services at the U.S. Embassy in Kinshasa on Thursday, July 20, 2023
The Embassy of the United States of America in Kinshasa will conduct a safety and accountability exercise for our staff and other partners on Thursday, July 20, 2023. This is part of a routine requirement by the U.S. Department of State for all posts worldwide, in which we periodically test and review our emergency preparedness and response skills, and senior members of several Congolese ministries and agencies have been invited to participate and share their expertise. The Embassy will be operating with reduced staffing and offering restricted services.
The Consular Section will be closed to routine services on July 20, 2023, and has notified those who needed to reschedule their appointments. The Consular Section and the Embassy will resume normal operating hours on Friday, July 21, 2023.
