Location: Rte des Poids-Lourds, Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo
Event: Demonstrations are currently underway along the road to the Kinshasa airport (Rte des Poids-Lourds). There have been reports of gunfire. Roads are blocked in multiple locations. Heavy traffic conditions and a police presence are expected. U.S. government personnel are advised to avoid the area.
